Any of you that have read ‘Greenpeace will save us!‘ probably has a really good idea of what I feel about the Greenpeace ‘protesters’ that climbed onto the jumbo-jet. It should therefore come as no surprise to hear my views on this lot who managed to scale the Houses of Commons today. With that said - my big problem isn’t with the protesters today (although I still don’t appreciate being told off by so called ‘eco-warriors’). No, my big problem today is how they managed to scale a building that is supposed to the seat of our Government and so suitably protected.
It has come to light that the likelihood is that they climbed to the roof via a fire escape and that there is a ’strong possibility’ that this was made possible by a Westminster security pass holder. Hang on just one second. Someone that is checked and verified by the Police and Security Services is in a position to allow protesters to flaunt sensible security to protest over something that most of the UK think is perfectly acceptable and that has been passed in law.
Okay - so maybe these protesters think that the extra runway at Heathrow should not be built, but what type of rice-grain

brained civil servant thinks that letting them roam around on the roof of The Commons was a good idea? If that same civil
servant thinks that it would be a good idea to let a terrorist group set up camp in the same place, would they have as
straightforward access?
Is our capital so poorly protected that anyone with an axe to grind is allowed to do as they please?
Matthew Knowles at the Society of British Aerospace Companies said it best I think….
These stunts are becoming tiresome and do nothing more than peddle inaccurate propaganda
