Yesterday I predicted that Lewis Hamilton had what it takes to become a Multi-Champion to better the Schumacher legacy. At 3PM this afternoon, the UK will watch Lewis race to victory beating a flagging Ferrari team, his team mate, and the BMW of Nick Heidfeld.
He commented that:
I never thought it would have been physically as much of a breeze as it was out there. It’s great preparation for Malaysia
and this was a race run in temperatures that exceed 38oC!
Lewis Hamilton is quite simply a phenomenon, but it is clear that mistakes, poor driving and poor car setup all contributed to his complete lack of any competition on the track. With that said, the amount of effort that it takes to get all of these things right and put the driver in the position to dominate on the track cannot be underestimated. As Lewis would say, it’s a team game F1.
