Chief Constable Mike Todd was a ‘Coppers’ Copper’ according to his colleagues. He was well respected, at the top of his game, and had a
reputation for making the difficult arrest and the difficult statements in public.
Mike had challenged organised crime directly and was at the forefront on the ‘battle on terror’.
Judged as the ideal modern Chief Constable he was charming, intelligent, articulate, and above all loved to catch the bad guy.
After having successfully targeted gun and drug crime in Manchester, he was awarded the Daily Mirror’s ‘Pride of Britain Award’.
Yesterday Mike Todd apparently threw himself off a cliff.
In his wallet were notes to his family.
In my opinion Mike Todd was murdered because he was an outspoken, effective and respected policeman who got far to good at disrupting organised crime and terror cells and became an issue for these organisations.
In the coming weeks and months more information about that night will come to light that will cast doubt on whether or not this was indeed a suicide.
We will discover things that will make it clear that this was not a suicidal man, this was a target for people in our country who want to prevent good men doing a good job. Mike Todd did not kill himself he was removed simply because he was so effective at his job, and allowed his team to be as successful as they are.
My best wishes go to his family, and I apologise on behalf of a nation for this man’s character being besmirched because we will never be categorically told the truth.
Mike Todd was murdered.

So would you say, even at this early date, that Michael Todd was murdered for the same reason as Dr David Kelly - i.e. to remove a prominent person from Government and it’s preripharies?
Unfortunately I believe that Mike Todd was murdered. I think that it was more likely to be organised crime or terrorists than any Government action - but simply put, this guy wasn’t one to quit. And suicide would be quitting for him.
I agree that it is most probable that Mike Todd was murdered arbie. Unfortunately the lines between organised crime, terrorism and Government have become so blurred that to try differentiate is futile.
